Opal can’t stop wondering what Cosmo, her new furry friend, did before they adopted her. Cosmo is clearly a special dog, so it couldn’t be anything ordinary. Perhaps Cosmo was an astronaut, an artist’s muse, or a deep sea explorer. Cosmo the Mystery Mutt alternates between the fantastical and the ordinary, connected by the special relationship between a child and their pet.
